For some reason, I’m on a roll in my heart reminiscing about the old days. Sometimes, that’s good for our hearts, Just thinking back to the good ole days!

So, back to UMKC. So, my ole buddy Greg from UPS eventually invited me to his church. And, I spent five years at Cornerstone Community Church learning and deeply growing in my faith! It was an awesome time in my life. Cornerstone was a small church of about 100 or so people and felt like what the early church of Acts must have felt like.

While there I learned how to lead. Greg and I spearheaded our singles ministry and that’s where I learned to evangelize. Just like Greg and Joe did with me at UPS.

With my ever growing heart to share Christ with people, and as a college student, I would ask God every semester to bring me two men to befriend and eventually share the good news of the gospel with.

And, every semester while at UMKC, God held up his end of the deal. It was an amazing time of trusting God. Not one semester went by that I didn’t meet at least two people to befriend and eventually share the gospel with.

Even today, while I’m out working or just building friendships with people I work with, I’m always on the alert and asking God, Lord, who is it you want me to make friends with?

I use to lead a Bible study here in Lincoln, NE and almost everybody that attended was somebody from church, or that I had met either at work or in the community!

I remember this one guy, Vaughn, I met him at Barnes and Noble. Our kids were both playing with a Thomas the Train set and having fun. So he and I struck up a conversation.

And sure enough, he was looking for a fellowship of men, so I invited him to join our study!

Vaughn is an amazing guy. He Loves Jesus, and is one of the most loyal service minded men I have ever met. He literally would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Vaughn joined our fellowship and was instrumental in helping us grow our young retreat ministry here in Nebraska!

I have so many stories like that that I could write about, but I have always kept in mind how two guys from UPS reached out to me and simply invited me into their Christian world.

Have you ever taken the time to learn how to share the gospel? Sharing the gospel or just simply inviting people to attend your Bible study or church is a profound way to include Gods people into fellowship.

Sometimes when I’m getting to know people, God makes it clear to me that He wants me to share the good news of the gospel with them.

So, I keep a copy or pictures from the online version of the “Four Spiritual Laws” on my phone.

It’s a fantastic simple way to share the good news of the gospel with people.

Now, it takes some time to build up the nerve and confidence to do this, you have to practice a bit. But, remember my post awhile back about repetition? If you find the four spiritual laws online, and read through it several times, you will become an evangelistic pro as you share the good news of the gospel with people.

I’ve done this for years and I’m always amazed at people’s response. Some people still believe just being a good ethical person will save them and get them to heaven. That’s just not the case! A person must hear the gospel, repent of their sin, and then receive Gods free gift of salvation to be a Christian! That’s the good news! Ephesians 2:8-9 says it’s by grace we have been saved, not by works so no one can boast!

Consider learning how to share the gospel with others. Maybe even save the four spiritual laws on your phone, and ask God to bring you people to share this life changing good news! I promise, God will hold up His end of the deal!
